Every year, the Ontario Public Service, related agencies and community groups, provide up to 5,000 students with jobs across the province. These jobs help Ontario students with limited work experience develop transferable skills, support their career goals and learn more about the Ontario Public Service! Summer Employment Opportunities are full-time, temporary positions ranging from 7 to 18 weeks between May and September.

Summer Company is an entrepreneurship program for students aged 15 – 29. Get $1,500 in start-up money to kick-off a new summer business. Up to an additional $1,500 when you successfully complete the program requirements. Receive advice and mentorship from local business leaders to help get the business up and running.
How to Apply

Through Youth Job Connection Summer, you get: at least 20 hours of paid training to prepare you for summer jobs that last for up to 8 weeks; part-time and after-school jobs are available (if they don’t conflict with school mentorship); job-coaching and help returning to school after the program ends.
Eligibility: For these summer opportunities, you must be: between 15 and 18 years old; a resident of Ontario; a high school student planning to stay in or return to school, or to move on to postsecondary education. This program can also help: indigenous youth; recent immigrants; young people with disabilities; youth with limited work experience, or low level of education.

Through Youth Job Link, you will: improve your knowledge of career options and today’s labour market; build the life skills you need to successfully plan and manage a career; write your résumé, search and apply for jobs, and prepare for interviews; get ready for the workplace by learning about teamwork, customer service, health and safety and labour rules The program also offers a job-matching service to help connect you with employers offering job opportunities that fit with your skills and interests.
Eligibility: You must be 15 to 29 years old; you must live in Ontario and be eligible to work in Canada. The Youth Job Link Job Matching service is intended for youth who may require additional assistance connecting with a job. You can be matched with all types of employers.
